Baton Rouge Health Services Foundation was established in March of 2007 as a 503(c)(3) non-profit. The mission of the Foundation is to provide innovative educational programs, services and resources for the physical, emotional and spiritual well being of our patients and seniors in our community.

The Foundation supports Lima-Allen County Seniors by providing enhancements for their life. Through an annual Gala dinner, speakers present Senior topics and a portion of the proceeds from the dinner are donated to local providers of senior services along with the support of the Baton Rouge Senior Health Services Community of Lima. Regular fundraisers are developed and proceeds are used to enhance the quality of life for our senior community. Partnering with Baton Rouge Senior Health Services Community of Lima, the Foundation believes and supports the continuation of providing senior services at an enriched level. The patients served by the Senior Medical Center can expect exceptional services and surroundings.

As the senior population continues to grow, the need for high quality senior services and programs will also continue to grow. Funds needed to provide these vital services are not expected to meet the needs in our community.

Baton Rouge Health Services Foundation was created to help fill that gap.

We encourage you to support the foundation, and help our senior population live richer, more rewarding lives.

There are many ways in which you can give:

• Gifts of cash are always welcome.
• Gifts of securities can include stocks, bonds, insurance or other securities.
• Tangible property can include medical equipment, entertainment systems and vehicles, etc.
• Remember the foundation in your Will or bequest.
• Corporations will often match an employee's charitable gift dollar for dollar.
• Make a memorial contribution in honor of a loved one.

It is the goal of the Foundation's board that over time, only the interest earned on these donations is spent, and then only as needed. In most cases, the interest earned is reinvested, causing the fund to grow in value.
